Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take for an item to be made and shipped?

Production time (the time it takes to pull your order, assemble materials, stamp, finish, and package) for an order is typically 5-7 business days (may be longer during holidays, launches, or sales).  Rush Order Production options are available for a fee and will ensure a 3 business day or less production time.  After production, orders will be promptly shipped.  Shipping times vary depending on your shipping selection at checkout.  Please note: The shipping time begins once the order has shipped.  Production time + shipping time = total time for your order to arrive.

What types of metal are pieces made from?

Almost all of the jewelry pieces are made with stainless steel materials (pendants, jump rings, chains) unless otherwise noted in the product details (for example, some charms are encased in silver plated metal).  Stainless steel is a very strong, durable, tarnish-free, and hypoallergenic metal, making it a great option for jewelry.  Items with gold stainless steel are either gold plated or titanium coated stainless steel (as noted in product details).  The stainless steel pendants are highly polished to give a beautiful mirror finish shine, adding to their beauty.

As with all metals, daily use and wear can affect the polished finish, particularly if the pendant is constantly rubbing against other metals or hard materials.  However, if cared for appropriately, you will find your jewelry piece to last beautifully for years, even with daily wear.

How do I care for my stainless steel jewelry?

Stainless steel is one of the easiest metals to care for as it does not tarnish or need polishing.  If the pendant appears dirty, simply wipe/rub it with a piece of clean, soft cotton (like a soft cotton t-shirt material).  It is not recommended to use any sort of polishing cloth as they generally have a very minor abrasive that will dull the shiny finish to more of a matte finish.  Additionally, abrasive polishes used on gold plated or titanium coated pieces can wear through the gold finish over time, exposing the silver stainless steel underneath.

As with all jewelry, it is generally recommended that you not shower, swim, or expose your jewelry to very moist conditions.  While stainless steel is very durable and will not rust or tarnish, over exposure to moisture will generally decrease the life of your piece and/or give it a dirty appearance as it accumulates soap, chemicals, etc.  Additionally, repeated exposure to water will cause the black ink in the impressions to wear away over time.  The black ink can be replaced for small fee (plus shipping charges).

I don’t see what I am looking for on your website.  Can I place a custom order?

Absolutely!  Custom orders are some of my favorites!  I can work with you to design something that fits as closely as possible with what you are envisioning.  A great place to start is letting me know the particular words/names/phrase you would like stamped, the color you would like (silver/gold), what type of jewelry you are looking for (necklace, bracelet, earrings, etc), and if there is something you have already seen on my website or social media that you like but want it redesigned to fit your idea.  Price for custom orders vary depending upon the complexity of the order, the number of materials needed, and the amount of stamping required.  I am happy to work with you to design and mock-up an idea and give you a price quote.  From there you can decide to move forward with ordering it, make changes, or save the idea for another time.  Please reach out to me at orders@dandelionanddot.com with ‘Custom Order’ in the subject line to get started!

I like the style of one of the pieces, but would prefer a different font.  Are there other options?

Yes!  See ‘Custom Orders’ in the question above.  Send me an email at orders@dandelionanddot.com and tell me the item you like and what you want it to say and I can give you some other font options that will fit on that piece for you to choose from.

Do you offer different chain lengths?

Yes!  Each necklace has the option of 16”, 18”, or 20” chain length.  You select which length you would like when adding to cart.  If you would prefer a different chain length I can customize it for you.  Email me at orders@dandelionanddot.com before placing your order to discuss what chain length you would like and I can adjust your order information once it is placed or build you a custom listing if it needs a price adjustment. Chain lengths 20” and under are all the same price.  Chain lengths over 20” are an additional cost and require a custom order.

Do you offer bulk pricing?

Bulk pricing is sometimes offered depending on the item and quantity.  Generally, bulk pricing is offered if quantities of 10 or more of the same item is ordered.  If you have questions about bulk pricing, or if the items you want qualify for bulk pricing, reach out at orders@dandelionanddot.com.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Soon!  Wholesale pricing will be available soon!  Check back here to see when it is available, or send an email with ‘Wholesale’ in the subject line and your business information and we will put you on the list to contact when wholesaling is ready.

Do you accept returns?

Returns are not accepted for personalized items (names, initials, birth flowers, etc).  Returns can be made for non-personalized items within SEVEN DAYS of delivery date.  For an item to be accepted for a return it must be unworn, in the same condition it was received in, and in its original packaging.  See Returns & Exchanges for more detailed information.
